To set up the TP-Link Deco M4, follow these steps:
Unbox the TP-Link Deco M4 package and make sure you have all the necessary components, including the Deco units and power adapters.
Connect one of the Deco units to your modem using an Ethernet cable. Plug one end of the cable into the modem's LAN port and the other end into the Deco unit's WAN port.
Connect the power adapter to the Deco unit and plug it into a power outlet. Wait for the unit to power on and initialize.
Download and install the "Deco" app from the App Store or Google Play Store on your smartphone or tablet.
Open the Deco app and create a TP-Link ID if you don't have one. If you already have an account, log in using your credentials.
Follow the on-screen instructions in the app to set up your Deco M4 router. The app will guide you through the process of connecting to the Deco network and configuring your Wi-Fi settings.
The app will ask you to scan the QR code on the bottom of the Deco unit or enter the serial number manually to add it to your network. Follow the instructions provided in the app.
You may need to wait a few minutes for the Deco units to synchronize and create a mesh network. During this time, make sure all the Deco units are powered on and connected to the network.
Once the setup is complete, you can customize your network settings, such as network name (SSID) and password, using the Deco app.
The Deco app will offer recommendations for optimal placement of additional Deco units to expand your mesh network coverage. You can follow the instructions in the app to add more units and configure them as needed.
Test your Wi-Fi connectivity by connecting your devices to the new TP-Link Deco network and accessing the internet.
Remember to consult the user manual or documentation that comes with your TP-Link Deco M4 router for any specific instructions or troubleshooting steps related to your model.
